Obituary of Lars Gustav Johnson
Naugatuck - Mr. Lars G. Johnson, age 67, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday December 26, 2017. He was the husband, for 45 years, of Debra (Butts) Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was born in Waterbury on March 25,1950 son of the late Gustav W. and Helen (Nelson) Johnson. He worked as a project engineer at numerous area manufacturing companies including FMP, Illinois Tool Works and Consolidated Industries, where he was employed at the time of his illness. He was a communicant and former choir member at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck and served as a member of the Naugatuck Inland Wetlands Commission.
In addition to his wife, Debra, Mr. Johnson is survived by his son: Anders Johnson of Naugatuck, his daughter: Anne Tice and her husband Josh of Bloomfield, his sister: Lynne Huydic and her husband John of Woodbury and five grandchildren: Brenna and Jake Johnson, Liam and Seamus Cooley and Bailey Tice.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday March 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St. Naugatuck. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Cornell Memorial Funeral Home, 247 White Street, Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
