Obituary of Rose T. Cascio
Rose T. (Provenzano) Cascio, 100, of Danbury, wife of the late Frank Cascio, died peacefully on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Hancock Hall in Danbury. She was born in New York, NY on September 30, 1916, daughter of the late Vincent and Bessie (Ligotino) Provenzano.
Rose was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything else. She loved to sew and used her talent to sew special gifts for her grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Joanne Ciliberto and her husband, Dominic, who Rose loved like a son; and her two cherished grandchildren, Gina and Nicholas Ciliberto. She was predeceased by her daughter, Bernadette Cascio; her brother, Harold Provenzano; and her sister, Mary Mongiovi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 14th at 10:30am at St. Peter Church in Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday morning between 9:00 and 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Peter Church.
