Obituary of Elizabeth Paravati
Elizabeth “Betty” (Cicchetti) Paravati formerly of Brookfield, cherished wife of the late Joseph Paravati Sr., died peacefully while surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 12th.
She was born in Bronx, N.Y. on December 14th, 1927, daughter of the late Carmine Cicchetti and Annunziata (Di Stefano) Cicchetti. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Brookfield.
She worked as a Data Entry Supervisor for the Nestle Corporation in White Plains NY, retiring in 1993. She loved cooking classic Italian dishes for her family and friends, baking treats and playing games with her great grand-children. She enjoyed going to casinos to play bingo and other games. She loved watching the Game Show Network and Fox News Network.
Most importantly, Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Steven J. Paravati and his wife, Cathy, Dr. Joseph S. Paravati, Jr. and his wife, Patti, all of Brookfield; her daughter, Camille Carletto and her husband, Lou of Matthews, N.C.; her seven grandchildren, Michelle Igoe (Doug), Steven Paravati, Jr. (Danielle), Melissa, Michael, and Matthew Paravati, Jennifer Carletto-Berg (Shane), and Lauren Carletto-Peoples (Donnie).
She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, Carter, Ella, Max, Cole, Landon, Cora, Christopher and Sean and was anticipating the birth of her 9 great-grandchild Aria; her brother Dante Cicchetti of New York, sister-in law, Angela Giasullo of Queens, N.Y.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 18th at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Interment will follow in the mausoleum at St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Friday evening between the hours of 5 to 8 pm.
