Obituary of Sharon Ann Carlo
Sharon Ann Carlo, age 58 of West Haven, CT, passed away on March 8, 2017 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, surrounded by her immediate family and close friends, following a brief illness.
Sharon was born in Danbury, CT on June 13, 1958. She was a member of The Campfire Girls and was a 1976 graduate of Danbury High School. After graduation, Sharon worked in hospitality in the hotel industry. She worked at the Ethan Allen Inn in Danbury, CT and at the Best Western Hotel in Worcester, MA. She also worked as a Data Entry Clerk for Salem Steel, IBM, and various other companies. Sharon was currently working for The Daughters of Isabella in New Haven, CT, a Catholic women’s organization, where she was their Office Manager for the past 30 years.
Sharon was pre-deceased by her father, Frederick Carlo of Danbury, CT and her two beloved dogs, Rusty and Nicky. She is survived by the love of her life, Charlie Williams of West Haven, CT, her mother, Antoinette Carlo of Danbury, CT, her sister, Annette Carlo of West Milford, NJ, her brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Antonella Carlo of Brookfield, CT, her niece, Arianna Carlo of Brookfield, CT, her godson, Jeffrey Penkoff Jr., of Trumbull, CT, and her godmother, Rose Brunetti of Danbury, CT.
Sharon had a heart of gold and was always willing to help and care for other people. She had an extraordinary sense of humor, an undeniable spirit, and she will be extremely missed by her entire family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at St. Joseph Church, 8 Robinson Ave, in Danbury, CT. Burial will immediately follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Danbury, CT.
Friends and Family may call on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, in Danbury, CT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sharon’s name can be made to The American Cancer Society, 38 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06854.
