Obituary of Sharon Elizabeth Corna

Sharon Elizabeth Corna , aged 72, passed away at her home on February 4th in Bethel. Sharon was born May 10th, 1944 the daughter of Metcho and Alene Corna.
Sharon enjoyed motor sports, cooking shows, crossword puzzles and spending time with her children and grandchild. Sharon graduated from Pawling High School in 1962.
Sharon was a shop steward and union representative at Grand Union in New Fairfield for 17 years before becoming a caregiver for disabled and elderly patients with DATAHR Inc. and eventually Almost Family in southwest Connecticut. Sharon will always be remembered as someone who opened her heart and her home to those in need both family and friends.
Sharon is survived by her daughter Nicole Trocolla and her husband Kyle; son Doug Rodger, her grandchild Connor; her sister Mary and brothers Dave, Mark, Bob and Fred and many nieces and nephews. Sharon is now at peace with her parents and her sister Debbie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in her name to Danbury Animal Welfare Society 147 Grassy Plain Street, Bethel, CT 06801.
A Memorial Service for Sharon will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home at 247 White Street, Danbury on Friday, February 10th between 6 and 8pm. Please Note the date has been changed due to the impending storm.
