Obituary of Felice Mario Scalzo
Felice Mario Scalzo, age 74, of Danbury, died peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Bethel Health Care. He was the beloved husband of Sara Scalzo.
He was born in San Bernardo Decollatura, Italy, a son of the late Antonio and Emilia (Gigliotti) Scalzo. At the age of 18, he emigrated from Italy and settled in Danbury. For over 47 years, he was employed by Amphenol as a plate machinist. Recently, he was honored by the Sons of Italy for his 50 years of service to the Amerigo Vespucci Lodge. He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, and making wine and salami. Most of all he was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife of almost 50 years, Sara, he is survived by two sons: Antonio Scalzo and his wife, Sarah of Stratford and John (Giovanni) Scalzo and his wife, Elizabeth of Norwalk; three grandchildren: Timothy, Joseph and Michael; a sister: Maria Teresa Perri of Toronto, CA; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother: Elio Scalzo and brother-in-law Giovanni Perri.

The funeral will be conducted on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 9:30AM from the Cornell Memorial Home to St. Joseph Church, Danbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury on Friday, January 6 from 5:00-7:00pm.
