Obituary
Obituary of Angeline Martino
Angeline (Mazzoli) Martino, of Brookfield, beloved wife of the late John L. Martino, Sr., died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Friday, December 30th. She was born in Danbury on December 20, 1928, daughter of the late Pietro and Elizabeth (Arconti) Mazzoli.
She was a graduate of St. Joseph School, Danbury, a resident of Brookfield for 62 years and retired from the Barden Corporation after many years of service.
Angie could best be described by three words… faith, family, and love. She was a devoted and active parishioner at St. Joseph’s Church in Brookfield for over 60 years. Through all her life challenges and tribulations, her faith in the Lord was unwavering. She lived her faith through her compassion and how she treated those she knew. She was most happy when she was surrounded by her family members and friends, showering them with her love, her kindness, and her compassion. She was so loved by her partner through life, John, her sons and daughter-in-laws, her granddaughters, sister and brothers, nieces and nephews, and her many friends who became family too.
She will be dearly missed by her two sons, John Martino Jr. and his wife, Jacqueline, and Richard Martino and his wife, Pamela, all of Brookfield; her four granddaughters, Meredith and Melissa Martino, Mallory Ditter and her husband, Michael, and Melinda Dean and her husband, Ryan. She is also survived by her two sisters, Natalie DiBella and MaryJo Mahon; her sisters-in-law, Lucy Gillotti, Ann Martino, Medi Mazzoli, Ele Mazzoli; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and extended family members.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Wednesday, January 4th at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Tuesday between the hours of 3:00 and 7:00pm.
