Obituary of Somphone Khounvongsa
Somphone Khounvongsa, 75, of Danbury, beloved husband of Chom Khounvongsa, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 16th. He was born in Laos on July 4, 1941 and served in the Laos Army.
Somphone made his home in the Danbury community in 1987 and worked for many years as a machine operator for Mahle Inc.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be sadly missed.
In addition to his wife, Chom, he is survived by his children, Kongkham, Thongkham, Xayfong, Khuaevanh, Bounchan, Khemphet, Ketmany, Sypaseuth; eighteen grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Ma Khounvongsa and Khampheng Khounvongsa.
Funeral services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday, July 23rd from 9:00 - 11:00am with cremation to follow.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home on Friday, July 22nd between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00pm.
