Obituary of Joseph P. Cann
Joseph P. Cann Jr., 28, of Danbury, beloved son of Joseph P. and Frances B. (Redden) Cann, died at his home on Saturday, June 18th. He was born in Danbury and was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 2006.
He enjoyed playing football for Viking Pop Warner, and later at Danbury High School. He was proud graduate of Penn State and continued to follow the school athletics, especially football.
Joseph was an avid fan of the New York Jets,New York Mets and New York Rangers. He loved boating, and attending area Trivia nights.
He will be remembered for his warm smile, and incredible sense of humor. He loved his family and friends, and was always there to help someone in need.
In addition to his parents Joseph and Fran, he will be dearly missed by his siblings Meagan and Patrick, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his Godparents Francesca Siciliano and Donald Flannery, and his Godson Ty Johnson.
He is predeceased by his grandparents Jack and Florence Redden, Matthias and Ellen Cann.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 23rd at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, 138 Candlewood Lake Rd, Brookfield. Cremation and interment in St. Peter Cemetery will take place privately.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22nd at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury, between the hours of 4:00 - 7:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to his parents, to assist with expenses; or to the Network of Child Protection and Wellbeing, Penn State University.
