Obituary of Kathleen Beckett
Kathleen M. Beckett, wife of the late Thomas A. Beckett, the love of her life, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 27th, 2016. Kathleen was born to the late James and Eva (McCloskey) Manning on September 22, 1922 in Newburgh, NY.
Kathleen attended Danbury schools and graduated from Danbury High School in 1940. Prior to her retirement, Kathleen was the manager of Automation Industries Federal Credit Union. She also loved to bake, much to the pleasure of her family & friends!
Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Gail Musson of Simsbury, CT and Judith Beckett of Bradford, VT, her niece Maureen Durand of Danbury, CT, her nephews, William Collins of Aliso Viejo, CA and John Manning of Bonita Springs, FL, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, many great-nieces and nephews and many great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her brother, William Manning, her sisters, Marie Manning, Norma Grapkoski, and Jane Romer, and her nephew, Kevin Manning.
Family and friends may call Friday, April 29th from 8am to 9am at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury. Following, the viewing, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Danbury. Burial will follow immediately at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Danbury.
To honor her late husband, memorial contributions may be sent in her memory, in lieu of flowers, to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
