Obituary of Jennie Brush

Jennie (Layok) Brush October 08, 1911 - September 23, 2003 Jennie J. (Layok) Brush, 91, of Patricia Lane, Newtown, wife of the late Kenneth L. Brush, died on Tuesday, September 23rd at her home. She was born in Crabtree, PA. on October 8, 1911, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Hrobac) Layok. Mrs. Brush retired from Fairfield Hills Hospital in 1975 after twenty years employment as a psychiatric aide. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Church, Danbury. Mrs. Brush will be sadly missed by her daughter and caregiver, Shirley J. Gervasoni of Newtown, with whom she made her home; daughter, Barbara A. Willis of Danbury; Six Grandchildren; and Six Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, John and Edward Layok of Danbury, and Louis Layok of New Fairfield; sisters, Mary Ukers of Danbury, Elaine Symanowitz of New Fairfield, and Anne Seidl of Seaford, NY; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Agnes Gillotti. Funeral Information Funeral Services and burial in St. Peter Cemetery were private.
